MIPS UNVEILS $100 TABLET WITH ANDROID 4.0

Chip designer MIPS has announced a $100 tablet with Android 4.0 operating system. Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich is the first version of Android optimized for both tablets and phones.

The MIPS Novo 7 tablet has a 1GHz Ingenic Xburst processor which may not be able to run some of the apps designed for Android. Other specifications include a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display, WiFi 802.11b
