Intel is getting ready to launch its next generation Atom processors code-named Medfield. These are highly power efficient chips designed for tablets and smartphones. Although Intel is the reigning king in the netbook space, the company hasn’t had much success in the tablet and smartphone segment where ARM-based chips are in demand.
