AMD LAUNCHES LOW POWER T40R AND T40E CHIPS FOR FANLESS COMPUTERS

AMD has always been known for building powerful chips that are equally power hungry. But it looks like the company is trying to shed that image. A few months ago AMD launched the 9-Watt C-50 dual core Ontario processor which is just as power efficient as Intel's dual core Atom while at the same time offering better performance. The company's 18W AMD E-350 processor doesn't consume more power than
